

The chorus of the song refers to the overall corruption and death of a generation as a result of this war. However, his psyche has been corrupted by what he has seen and done.

"I'm done! It has begun, I'm not the only one." The character is at his breaking point, he's fed up with the system as a whole. It's still not a lot, but compared to state-side, it's a small fortune. "Then fill your mouth with all the money you will save." While on deployment, troops make a lot more than back in the states. "Go drill your deserts, go fill your graves" Pretty self explanatory.

"I did my time and I want out." The character is referring that he did his required time, either in Iraq, or in the military as a whole and wants out. This might have something to do with me being an Iraq War veteran, but I see it as an anti-war song.
